ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Nasir-Ul-Mulk has constituted seven benches, including a larger one, at the principal seat to hear a number of important cases during next week, starting from Monday (September 8).
The first bench comprises the Chief Justice, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Mushir Alam, while the second one consists of Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja, Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Dost Muhammad Khan.
The third bench includes Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman, while the fourth one comprises Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed. The fifth one consists of Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Umer Ata Bandial and Justice Qazi Faez Esa, while the sixth one includes Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany and Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry.
The larger bench, headed by the Chief Justice, comprises Justice Jawwad S Khawaja, Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali.
Besides, the other regular cases, the benches will also take up service matters, appeals against sentences, tax and land matters etc.
According to cause lists, no adjournment on any ground will be granted and no application for adjournment through fax will be placed before the court.
If the counsel is unable to appear for any reason, the Advocate-on-Record will be required to argue the case.
