ISLAMABAD: The nation is celebrating Eid-ul-Azha with great religious fervour and enthusiasm today to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him).
The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for the peace, progress and well-being of the Ummah and Pakistan. The government has chalked out elaborate security arrangements across the country.
Eid congregations held at mosques, Eidgahs, and open places in all cities, towns, and villages.
In the federal capital, the main Eid congregation held at the Faisal Mosque. After offering the Eid prayers, the faithful sacrificed their animals.
Muslims will continue this process of sacrifices for the next two days of Eid.
