HYDERABAD: The preparations for celebration of Eid-ul-Azha have been completed and the people of Hyderabad are ready to celebrate Eid with traditional enthusiasm, zeal and religious festivity on Monday like other parts of the country.
Namaz-e-Eid will be offered at over 900 Jamia Masajid, Eidgahs, Imam Bargahs and open places of the district. The main Eid congregations will be held at Eidgah Thandi Sarak, Cantonment Eidgah, Masjid Abul Fazal Abbas, Qadamgah Moula Ali, Mehfil-e-Hussaini and Liberty Chowk.
The Khatibs in their Eid sermons, will highlight the importance of sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) in the way of Allah Almighty.
After Eid prayers, the worshippers will exchange Eid greetings and sacrifice the animals following Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).
The district administration said it has made special arrangements including the cleanliness of Eidgahs, lifting of offal from streets and roads as well as ensure uninterrupted supply of water so that the people could not face any inconvenience while performing their religious duty on all three days of Eid celebrations.
The volunteers of various political, religious and social welfare as well as non-government organisations have already prepared themselves for collection of skins, hides of sacrificial animals on all three days of Eid celebrations.
The SSP Hyderabad has put the District Police on high alert and assigned 2500 policemen and 250 Razakars on Eid duty to ensure security at all Masajid, Eidgahs, Imambargah, recreational places, hotels, restaurants, cattle piris, railway stations and bus terminals.
The internal and external routes of the districts are already being monitored with adequate numbers of policemen. The mobile patrolling with Fighter Police Force has already been enhanced in various parts of the district in order to maintain law and order during Eid celebrations.
The management of newspapers, local television and radio channels have also made arrangements to bring out Eid supplements, broadcast and telecast special Eid entertainment programmes.
Meanwhile, the purchase of sacrificial animals is on peak as great rush with traffic jam on roads is being witnessed because of setting up of illegal “Cattle Piris” in different parts of Hyderabad City, Latifabad and Qasimabad Talukas of Hyderabad district.
