On the directives by the Chief Minister (CM) Sindh, Qaim Ali Shah, the district government of Khairpur finalized the arrangements to carry the dead bodies to Peshawar by C130 plane.
The passenger bus was on route to Karachi from Swat when it collided with the truck. Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to Civil Hospital Khairpur.
According to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Khairpur, Munwar Ali Mithiani the over loaded bus was speeding on a part of the highway under construction and that the driver’s carelessness caused the accident.

SSP M&HP Faisal Abdullah Chachar said that not long before the accident, the bus driver was fined for overloading his vehicle and forced to off load four passengers.
He said the bus and the truck had both been travelling at a speed of around 80 to 90 kilometers per hour when they collided.
