Key appointments in DCIM team announced
Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR) and a global leader in maximizing availability, capacity and efficiency of critical infrastructure, today announced key appointments aimed at further strengthening its Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) business in Asia. These organizational changes signify Emerson’s ongoing commitment to deliver the best DCIM solutions and services to its customers across the region.
Wesley Lim is promoted to director of DCIM business in Asia effective October 1st. In his new role, Lim will head up the full spectrum of DCIM business including sales development, pre-sales support and professional services across the Asia market units including Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, North Asia, and Pakistan. Lim will continue to be based out of Singapore and will continue to report to Gene Hayden, vice president and general manager for sales and marketing, Emerson Network Power in Asia Pacific.
“With emergence of cloud, big data, enterprise mobility and software defined network solutions, there is a lot of opportunity for potential customers to consider their DCIM strategies, be it starting from Infrastructure access and control, data center monitoring, or data center optimization with plans to automate process to gain maximum return of investment,” said Lim. “Taking these things into consideration, Emerson’s DCIM business will be an integral part of our channel go-to-market strategies and we would continue to invest to enable our channel ecosystems partners to bring value and technologies to customers.”
Meanwhile, Kenny Khow is named director of the newly-created DCIM professional services team in Asia effective August 1st. Khow is responsible for building the professional services organization including process mapping and development, resource management as well as the development of tools to ensure the success of the DCIM professional services business. Specifically, he will be responsible for business development, portfolio development, delivery and project escalation management to meet customer expectations. Khow will report directly to Lim.
