NAUSHAHROFEROZE: A 4-day anti-polio drive will start here from December 8 and continue till December 11.
Deputy Commissioner, Mirza Nasir Ali chaired the meeting in this regards to review and finalise all arrangements of the campaign in the district, said a statement released here on Thursday by District Information Office, Naushahroferoze.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that during the campaign no doctor will be allowed leave. Each UC medical officer will monitor the area’s teams and he will be fully responsible for any negligence.
Issuing directives to doctors, he said that each official has to play his effective role and they will also have to check supervisor’s teams at UC level.
If any kind of negligence is found, all concerned officials would be held responsible, he said while warning them that strict action would be taken against those responsible.
Aside from this, he said he himself will visit different polio camps set up at UC level in the district.
Every member of polio team has to ensure that no child has been deprived od polio drops in any UC in the district, the DC said adding if any child is not found in a house in the morning, polio team will have to re-visit the same house in the evening to administer polio drops.
District Health Officer Dr. Abdul Wahab briefed the meeting and said that for four-day national anti-polio campaign 728 teams have been made for vaccination of 286789 children.
District officials, Motorway police, representative of WHO and NGOs were present on the occasion.
