ISLAMABAD: The veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has paid glowing tributes to the three youth martyred by Indian troops in Tral.
Syed Ali Gilani, who is under house arrest in Srinagar, telephonically addressing the participants of the funeral of the martyred youth said that while Kashmiri youth were laying their lives for the Kashmir cause pro-India politicians were trying to lure the people towards the farcical elections, KMS reported.
“These youth are presenting their precious lives against forced occupation, coercion and for securing our future. It is our duty to follow the mission of those who are sacrificing their lives for a noble mission,” he stated.
The veteran leader said that the people should be cautious about the deceptive politics of pro-India leaders and parties including National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party, Congress, BJP and others. They are instrumental in strengthening the occupation of India and deceiving people on one pretext or the other, he added.
Syed Ali Gilani while appreciating the imams for refusing to be the part of BJP said, “We pay our salute to religious clerics of Jammu and Kashmir for their resentment against BJP and RSS.”
Thousands of people participated in the funeral of the martyred youth. They raised high-pitched anti-India and pro-liberation slogans. Complete shutdown was observed in Tral, Pulwama and Kulgam areas against the killings. All shops, business establishments and private offices remained closed in the areas.
