KARACHI: Karachi court accepted the bail for three people who were arrested for running run an unregistered madrassa and keeping girls in it, Aaj News reported.
The police apprehended a woman named Hameeda Bibi and two of “ her partners in crime” from whose madrassa 36 girls were recovered, who were originally belonging to the Bajaur Agency in FATA. These girls were later on sent to a shelter home. This madrassa was located near Guru Mandir.
Hameeda bibi and her best friends forever were presented infront of the court today, seeking a remand, but since they were caught with 36 girls illegally found in her house, the judge did not think of them highly and refused it.
The defense then requested for money in exchange for their freedom also known as bail, which was accepted. Hameeda Bibi was told to pay half million in rupees.
The court hearing has been postponed till December the 10th.
It is pertinent to mention here that Hameeda bibi kept a boarding house which in her books is known as a madrassa. Which was unregistered for many years.
