KARACHI: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA – Karachi) has demanded immediate improvement in law and order situation in Karachi.
Optimum protection and security of citizens in general against crime as well as criminal elements playing havoc in the metropolis was sought by General Secretary of PMA – Karachi, Dr. Qazi M Wasiq.
Registering protest, Wednesday, against lawlessness in the city, he said murder of Dr. Rubina Khalid, associated with Dow University of Health Sciences, during a robbery attempt is a matter of serious concern.
Dr. Rubina, a radiologist and medical teacher serving at the Ojha campus of DUHS was shot dead by robbers on University Road, here the other day, as she as returning back home from her work place.
Doctors of Karachi talking to APP took strong exception to the case and said this was 47th case of doctors’ killing in the metropolis since 2011.
