ISLAMABAD: The International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2014 has been inaugurated by PM Nawaz Sharif on Monday at Expo Center, Karachi that will last for four days, Aaj News reported.
While addressing on the occasion, the PM said that armed forces equipped with latest technology are pertinent for the country’s defence and sovereignty. Currently, Pakistan has the modern defence system, He also talked about the operation Zarb-e-Azb which is being continued in the country.
The safeguarding the sovereignty is the priority for any independent country. A state should always be prepared to face the challenges to national security.
It is pertinent to mention here that the exhibition is showcasing exhibits including tanks, aircraft, APCs ammunition, ship building and communications related equipment of 232 defence companies of the world.
China has the biggest pavilion at the exhibition followed by Turkey.
After inauguration, the Prime Minister also visited various stalls and met with the key delegates.
