HYDERABAD: The workers of Jamiat Ulmai Islam (F) Friday took out rallies in different cities and towns of interior Sindh to protest the killing of Senator (R) Dr Khalid Soomro some days back in Sukkur.
Rallies were taken out in Hyderabad that converged at the Press Club.
The party workers marched from different parts of the city including SITE Hyderabad and Qasimabad.
The participants were addressed at Hyderabad Press Club by provincial JUI leaders including Moula Taj Muhammad Nahiyoun, Hafiz Khalid Hassan Dhamra, Hafiz Muhammad Azam Jehangiri, Jam Shoukat of STP, Abdul Waheed Qureshi of Jamat Islami and Hafiz Arman Chohan of JUI (S) who said that anti-Muslim forces have tried to destabilize the country by killing Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro and they are continuously engaged to achieve their nefarious designs, but they would fail in their goals.
Mirpurkhas: Rallies were also taken out in Mirpurkhas and Umerkot by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) leader to protest killing of Dr Soomro. The rally was taken out from Thar Bazar in Umerkot and culminated at Press Club against the target killing of JUI-F Leader Dr. Khalid Mahmood Soomro.
A large number of JUI-F activist participated in the rally. Earlier the protesters blocked the road which caused suspension of traffic leading towards Mirpurkhas, Kunari, Samaro, Chhor and other cities for three hours. On the occasion, Leaders of JUI-F Sindh Chapter, Moulana Abdul Rehman and Moulana Muhammad Yaqoob and others said that they had been punished for making efforts for peace.
They termed the martyrdom of Soomro loss for all human beings. “Dr. Khalid Mahmood Soomro was making all efforts for peace and religious harmony in the country”, they added. Meanwhile, another protest was staged in front of Madina Majid to condemn the target-killing of JUI-F Leader Dr. Soomro.
