FAISALABAD: More than 200 trade bodies and organizations of the city have rejected the PTI’s shut down call on Monday and announced to open their shops, markets and business centers as well.
Pakistan Yarn Merchants Association, Sugar Linkers and Dealers Association, All Pakistan Bed Sheets and Up-holster Manufacturers Association, Anjuman Tajran City Sher group, Pakistan Hosiery Garments Association, Power Looms association, Installment Association, Auto Part Association, Central Cloth Board, Anjuman Tajran Action Committee, Goal Merchant Association, Sugar Dealer Association, Anjuman Tajran Grain Market, Industries and Power Looms Association, President Pathan Ittehad Welfare association, Anjuman Arrhttian Fruit and Vegetable Market Jhang Road Sadhar, shopkeepers of Samandri Road and Novelty Bridge, Quaid Jamiat Mushaikh Pakistan Peer Fazal Haq etc unanimously rejected the PTI’s call and announced to open their business.
Neither shut down will be made nor would anyone be allowed of such act forcibly, said Khawaja Shahid Razaq Sakka, Mahmood Alam Jutt, Qaiser Shams Guccha, Muhammad Akram Pasha, Adnan Zahid Butt, Haji Shamshad Ali, Haji Muhammad Suleman, Khawaja Muhammad Akmal, Mian Sarwar, Ch Imtiaz Rabani, Shafat Ali Rana, Waheed Khaliq Rame, Yusuf Vohra , Abdul Wahab Khan Khattak and others here Sunday.
They said politics of protest and sit-ins had affected economy and now shut down will badly damage it.
Imran Khan’s shut down politics was not fair with the country, they said and added that not a single trade organization supported his call.
They said the PTI chief was misleading the youth and people in the name of new Pakistan and wanted to create unrest in the country.
They said the traders community of the city had full confidence on policies of the PML-N government for economic stability till now.
