ISLAMABAD: To finalize the national action plan on counter-terrorism, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has summoned a meeting of the parliamentary parties today (Wednesday).
According to the reports, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI) Rizwan Akhtar will also attend the meeting.
The prime minister will initiate the meeting with his remarks while Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan will brief the participants about various stages of the action plan.
The proceedings of the discussion will take place behind closed doors.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan is also expected to attend the meeting on the invitation of Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar.
It is pertinent to mention here that it will be the second meeting of parliamentary leaders in the wake of the heinous attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar a week ago.
