HYDERABAD: Like other parts of the province, Sindhi Culture Day was celebrated with profound fervour and enthusiasm in Hyderabad and its adjacent areas on Sunday.
People from all sections of the society and members of all political, social organizations including women and children, irrespective of their varied affiliations participated in various activities held in this connection.
Majority of them took out rallies and marched on main roads of different cities and gathered in front of respective Press Clubs in the district.
They wore traditional Sindhi dresses with Ajaraks and Sindhi caps and sang Sindhi songs and danced to their tunes.
Apart from this, different programmes were organized by political and social organizations in the district.
MQM Zonal Office Hyderabad also held an event in connection with Culture Day. The journalists and photojournalists were invited there and decorated with Ajrak and Topi.
Besides, an event was organized in Sindh Language Authority by the civil society in this connection.
Hari Committee and other social organizations also set up camps at Hyder Chowk to celebrate the day.
During those programmes, local artists and instrumentalists presented traditional Sindhi songs and music.
Several local notables and philanthropists distributed sweets among the participants.
On the occasion, participants expressed the view that the day was being celebrated to show their love and solidarity with Sindh.
