MILAN: – German World Cup winner Lukas Podolski arrived in Milan on Friday where he was poised to sign a loan deal with Inter after being frozen out by Arsenal.
The 29-year-old has become increasingly frustrated at his lack of playing time with the English Premier League side.
Podolski was pictured on the Inter website brandishing a blue and black club scarf on his arrival in the Italian city.
His move to Italy comes despite Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger on Tuesday describing Inter’s interest as “a joke”.
Podolski, who moved to Arsenal from Cologne in 2012, is due to undergo a medical on Saturday and could make his debut against champions Juventus on Tuesday.
