ISLAMABAD: The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Auto Teller Machine (ATM) system which was out of order due to maintenance, has been restored and functioning smoothly, a top official of the Bank told APP here Wednesday.
Regional Chief NBP Shah Jahan said that banking system was switched over to new Information Technology System which caused inconvenience to the bank’s valued customers in the past two-day.
“We have introduced new IT based core banking system which would facilitate the clients in withdrawal of their amounts through ATMs and would now face no problem”, Shah Jahan remarked.
“The ATMs of NBP main branch are also working smoothly and customers are withdrawing their amounts smoothly and without any hinderance”, he remarked.
It may be mentioned here that National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has embarked on an aggressive plan to roll out 1,000 Auto Tellers Machines (ATMs) by the end of 2015.
Its President has recently signed an agreement with Logistic Security Support and Engineering Group) and Touch Point.
When contacted, an official of NBP Melody branch said that system was shut down for maintenance of ATMs to facilitate the clents in withdrawal of the amount.
“Now the system has completely restored and the clients are being served through bank and ATMs “, he told APP.
