ISLAMABAD: All Parties Hurriyet Conference has reiterated that peace and stability will always elude South Asia unless the Indian Occupied Kashmir dispute is resolved on permanent basis as per Kashmiris’ aspirations.
The APHC Executive and General Councils chaired by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in Srinagar stressed the need for initiation of dialogue between Pakistan, India and true representatives of Kashmiris on the dispute, KMS reported.
The All Parties Hurriyet Conference made it clear to India that it cannot weaken the freedom sentiment of the Kashmiri people through brute use of force and other coercive tactics.
The veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the continued illegal detention of Hurriyet leaders and activists including Masarrat Aalam Butt and Mushtaq-ul-Islam saying that charges framed against them were politically motivated.
Hurriyet leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Dar and Moulvi Bashir Ahmad in their interviews and statements stressed the need for greater unity among Hurriyet organizations to advance the freedom struggle in a more effective way.
The President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum, Pandit Bhushan Bazaz, in a statement said the Hindu extremist Bharatiya Janata Party wants to impose its divisive agenda in the territory. He said that collective efforts were needed to foil BJP’s nefarious designs to impose its political agenda in Kashmir.
