JEDDAH: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) will be taking part in the senate elections, announced by PTI chairman Imran Khan on Friday, Aaj News reported.
According to PTI chairman Imran Khan, in 2013 the Khyber Pakhtun Khwan (KPK) elections were the only fair elections so they will take part only in the senate elections in KPK.
He said that he expected the 2013 elections to be transparent but they turned out to be the most controversial.
He also said that all the parties agree that the elections in Sind, Punjab and Baluchistan were rigged so his party would not contest senate elections from these provinces.
For imposing surcharges on electricity and petrol, the PTI chief criticized the government.
