KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Transport Mir Mumtaz Hussain Jakhrani has said that transport stands located near government and private schools are being removed to beef up the security of schools in the province.
This he said while presiding over a meeting which was attended by officials of education, police, transport departments and representative of private school management committee.
He said that complete bio-data of school van drivers will be registered in the concerned police stations while close circuit camera system is also being installed in schools.
He said that Sindh Government is making out efforts to ensure fool proof security arrangements and all available resources will be utilised in this regard.
The Minister said that Sindh Government will provide arms licenses to private security guards deputed at private schools adding that Home Department has already been directed to take necessary steps in this regard.
Jakhrani remarked “everyone has to play a role to eliminate terrorism from the country. It is our duty to inform concerned police stations regarding suspected persons”.
