KARACHI: Five ships C.V Xpress Kailash, C.V K Phoenix, C.V MSC Athos, M.V Venus Triumph and M.T Borania carrying containers, Project cargo and Diesel oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal berth # 6.8 & 9, Multipurpose Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively at Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Meanwhile two more container ships also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the same period. Berth Occupancy:
Berth occupancy remained at the Port at 57% on Sunday, where eight ships namely, C.V Xpress Kalilash, C.V K Phoenix, C.V MSC Athos, M.V Ikan Kailash, M.V Sino-6, M.T Bunga Angsana, M.V Venus Triumph and M.T Borania were occupied PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Fertilizer, Chemicals, Palm oil and Diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours. Cargo volume during last 24 hours handled at 85,827 tonnes, comprises 59,132 tonnes imports and 26,695 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 3,027 Containers (TEUs) (1,622 imports and 1,405 export TEUs) were handled at the Port. Departures:
Container Vessel ‘MSC Athos’ sailed out to sea on Monday morning while three more ships C.V Xpress Kailash, C.V K Phoenix and M.V Venus Triumph are expected to sail on same day afternoon. Arrival Schedule:
Two ship C.V Safmarine Ngami and C.V MSC Maureen carrying containers are expected to take berths at Container Terminal berth# 5 and respectively on Monday, 19th January, while two more container ships ‘Al-Farhidi’ and ‘CMA CGM Tosca’ are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday, 20th January and General cargo carrier ‘BBC Texas’ container vessels ‘CMA CGM Maupassant’ and ‘Maersk Atlanta’ are due to arrive on Wednesday, 21st Janyary-2015.
