KARACHI:Muttahdida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain has begged pardon from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shireen Mazari.
Altaf Hussain, in his live apology, asked the mothers, sisters, and daughters to forgive him for if they were hurt by his words, which he had never meant.
“If I have offended them inadvertently, I apologize to all the virtuous female participants of the PTI’s Islamabad sit-in,” Altaf Hussain said.
Earlier, the PTI took a strong exception to the MQM leader’s uncomplimentary remarks about the party’s Central Secretary Information, Shireen Mazari giving rise to a standoff between the two sides.
During a press conference held earlier in the day, Chairman PTI, Imran Khan roared like a lion when he admonished the MQM head honcho for allegedly passing dissing remarks against the PTI women workers.
“The compromise will be absolutely zero when it comes to attacks on the women’s character as well as reputation,” the PTI leader sounded out launching a flaming warning.
Meanwhile, the MQM, which condemned Khan’s statements in the strongest of words, staged a rally to show solidarity with their London-based leader.
