ISLAMABAD: At least a dozen people were injured, when Indian police used brute force against the demonstrators, who were protesting against the killing of two youth in Shopian district.
The youth were martyred by Indian troops during a siege and search operation at Heff Shermaal in the district, KMS reported.
Hundreds of people from Turkewangam, Shermaal and adjoining villages marched towards the area to protest against the killing.
They raised high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. Indian police fired teargas shells and bullets to disperse the demonstrators injuring about a dozen of them.
