ISLAMABAD: The German Ambassador in Pakistan Dr.Cyrill Nunn has declared Pakistan as the land of opportunity.
He was addressing as chief guest in the Android Game/Apps Competition for Pakistani Inter-university Students, organized by KWICK High Tech & Solutions here on Thursday.
He said that he himself had seen the extraordinary talented people of Pakistan in different seminars and competitions.
He said that Germany and Pakistan had bilateral ties in different fields, and Germany had always encouraged the talent of Pakistan.
He urged the participants to explore more opportunities in the emerging fields of Software (Apps or Game) Development.
“Information technology is moving very fast so now laptops have taken the place of PC and laptops and palm tops have been replaced by android devices so we should be more focussing on the android based applications and games,” he said.
On the occasion, Waseem Rafi, CEO of KWICH High Tech & Solutions has urged the need to promote the young and new talent of Pakistan.
“We have to keep up with the market pace and ensure new ideas keep on falling in for effective business development,” he said, in the context of hosting competitions for students.
“This can only be done once we make proper policies to promote them from the grassroots level,” he said, concluding that such initiatives would boost the confidence in the young talent of Pakistan and make them confident to compete in the domestic as well as in the foreign market.
The Competition was also attended by students, high government officials and representatives of telecom and banking sectors.
