LAHORE: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) here Thursday took out a rally from Nasir Bagh to Punjab Assembly to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day.
The Punjab JI Chief Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar led the rally participated by a large number of party workers.
Addressing the rally, the JI leaders said that Pakistan would continue to extend moral and political support to the Kashmiris fighting to get rid of Indian clutches, adding that Pak-India relations could not improve without settling this core issue.
They also called for implementation of the UN resolutions on Kashmir promising the right of self-determination to the Kashmiris.
India could not defeat Kashmiris’ spirit for liberation and their freedom struggle would continue till occupied Kashmir was freed.
