ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Commerce, Engineer Khurram Dastagir Khan has said that law enforcement institutions should be given full support and respect to combat terrorism and maintain peace in the country.
Talking to Pakistan Television channel, he said that there is need to support and restore confidence in the working of law enforcement institutions and judiciary for achieving results in a proper manner.
He said that strict punishment should be given to the elements found involved in the terrorism activities.
He added that action should be taken against these elements without discrimination.
Federal Minister said that upholding the Constitution and law of the country is imperative to achieve progress in any case.
He urged all the political parties to play role for achieving progress from law enforcement institutions of the country.
Khurram Dastagir said that perpetrators of Shikarpur, Peshawar school and Baldia Town incidents should be brought to book.
To a question, he said that special courts were established to deal the cases of terrorists.
He said that Pakistani people had given votes to the leaders of the political parties running the federal and provincial governments.
He said: “It is the responsibility of all the members of the parliament to play active role in provision of justice to the people and resolving issues of their areas.”
