LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said on Sunday that the nation were united to fight out terrorism to ensure peace, an essential component for rapid development and promotion of investment in the country.
Talking to a delegation of assembly members here, he said that implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) was yielding positive results.
Shahbaz said, Pakistan was passing through most difficult time, and terrorism, extremism and sectarianism have caused an irreparable loss to national economy. The nation, he added, was stood united beside the Pak Armed Forces, writing a new history of courage in anti-terrorism war.
The Chief Minister said, the elements shedding blood of innocent people were enemies of humanity and the brave Pakistani nation would defeat the terrorists, which deserved maximum punishment as they had destroyed peace and tranquility of the country.
He said that blood and sacrifices of martyrs in anti-terrorism war would not go to waste, as every Pakistani was determined to eliminat terrorists and they would foil nefarious designs of enemies of peace and humanity.
Shahbaz said that every effort would be made with unity and support of the masses to rid Pakistan of terrorists.
