KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah Tuesday said that there would be no shortage of potable water in Tharparkar and other parts of the province after June this year as billions of rupees were being invested in water supply projects.
He stated this after Rashdi community’s Muhammad Azam Shah Rashdi along with his 26 associates announced their joining of the Pakistan Peoples Party, here at the Chief Minister house.
He said that the extent of the investment could be judged from the fact that only in Mitthi Rs 4.5 billion had been spent on R.O. plant which had the capacity of providing two million gallons water per day.
He said several such other plants and hundreds of smaller plants were being installed in Tharparkar and other areas.
