The US President Barrack Obama on Thursday evening phoned Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and updated him on his recent visit to India. The call lasted for about half an hour. President Obama said the United States is appreciative of Pakistan’s growing positive relations with Afghanistan. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said India did not deserve permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council as the country had been violating the UN resolutions on Kashmir.
The Prime Minister expressed Pakistan’s desire of becoming a member of the Nuclear Suppliers Group. President Obama appreciated Pakistan for successfully launching Operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan.
