ISLAMABAD: Former interior minister of Pakistan and PPP leader Senator A. Rehman Malik on Tuesday strongly condemned brutal attack of terrorists outside Police Line, Lahore in which many innocent people were killed and injured.
He said “No words are strong enough to condemn the cruelty and brutality of these terrorists whom he always calls as “Zaliman”.
Senator A. Rehman Malik said that such attacks were aimed at destabilizing Pakistan but we would not let these inhuman and enemies of the country to succeed in their nefarious designs, said a press release issued here on Tuesday.
The former interior minister said the “Zaliman” can not be appeased; they must be condemned by every Pakistani especially by the political leadership of the country.
He hoped for rapid and absolute elimination of terrorism and extremism from the country through operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’.
He said the heartbreaking incident of Peshawar Public School attack in which some 144 innocent children were put to death mercilessly has brought the whole nation at one page against the terrorism.
He said what was decided in National Action Plan unanimously by all political forces of the country must be implemented by the government.
He said that PPP always supported any move of the government against extremism and terrorism.
The Senator said “We can’t go forward on the path of progress till we don’t eliminate these inhumane ‘Zaliman’ from our soil”.
Once again he has appealed the Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani to arrest the Chief terrorists Mullah Fazal ullah and Faqeer Muhammad and handover them to Pakistan as soon as possible as they are operating against Pakistan from the soil of Afghanistan which is totally unbearable.
He said just few days ago innocent people were killed in an Imambargah in Peshawar adding that today we are seeing Lahore bleeding.
He appealed the Prime Minister and Chief Ministers to enhance the security arrangements especially of schools, colleges, Imambargahs and mosques as well as sensitive places.
Senator Rehman Malik prayed for those who lost their lives, expressed sympathies with bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of the injured.
