RIYADH: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif received a warm welcome here Wednesday on his arrival for a three-day official visit on the special invitation of Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as a special gesture, received the Prime Minister and his entourage at King Khalid Airport.
The Prime Minister was presented the guard of honour by a contingent of the Royal Saudi Armed Forces.
A high-level delegation accompanying the Prime Minister, including Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his special assistants on National Affairs Irfan Siddiqui, and Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi, was introduced to the Saudi King.
The Prime Minister will hold talks with the Saudi leadership, besides performing Umrah and paying his respects at the Roza-e-Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him), during his stay.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will discuss issues of mutual interest and concern in the global and regional context besides focussing on ways to further strengthen their bilateral relations.
