KARACHI: The Karachi University here on Thursday announced to cancel admissions, with immediate effect, of candidates pertaining to different departments for submitting forged or tampered Hifz- e- Quran certificates.
Director Admissions – KU Prof. Dr. Khalid M Iraqi, said on verification from the Wifaq-ul-Madaris al-Arabia, Multan, the Hifz-e-Quran certificates submitted by Saddam Khan, son of Shamsheer Khan, Class B.A.(Hons), Economics Department; Muhammad Saeed Khan, son of Muhammad Haneef, Class BPA, Public Administration Department and Anees- ur- Rehman Soomro, Class B.E. Chemical Engineering Department were found forged or tampered.
The Hifz-e-Quran certificates were submitted by these candidates as a document facilitating their admission to the University.
