KARACHI, Mar 15 (APP): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah called on the newly-elected Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani at his residence and congratulated him over his election as the leader of the Upper House of Parliament.
The two leaders discussed in detail political situation in the country. They also talked about law and order situation in Sindh, particularly Karachi, and other issues, said a handout issued here on Sunday.
The Chief Minister expressed his confidence that after the recently held Senate elections, democracy will now be further strengthened, democratic institutions will be more activated and strengthened and the Senate will play its active role for the rights of smaller provinces.
Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani thanked the Chief Minister Sindh, and said he will continue playing his role for the supremacy of constitutional institutions.
Senator Saeed Ghani, CM’s Special Assistant Waqar Mehdi and Rashid Rabbani, CM’s Coordinator Siddiq Abubhai, Khalid Latif, Saleem Qazi and others were present.
