LAHORE: The Election Tribunal, Faisalabad comprising Javed Rashid Mehboob Wednesday completed inspection of three, out of ten, selected polling stations of NA-125 constituency.
The tribunal conducted inspection of record of polling stations, including 30, 32 and 46, in the presence of representatives of both parties today. Whereas the polling record of remaining seven polling stations would be inspected on Thursday.
The tribunal decided to inspect 10 polling stations of NA-125 constituency on a election petition filed by PTI Runner-up candidate Hamid Khan challenging the election of Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique from the constituency.
It is pertinent to mention that the tribunal had decided to inspect polling records of ten polling stations of NA-125 while dismissing applications for verification of voters’ thumb impressions from NADRA as well as for appointment of another local commission on March 10 by PTI’s Hamid Khan and Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique respectively.
The tribunal asked both parties to suggest five polling stations each of their choice for inspection but the parties failed to comply with directions.
At this, the tribunal decided to inspect polling record of ten polling stations including 30, 32, 112, 120, 151, 46, 98, 193, 194 and 195 of NA-125 constituency.
