KARACHI: Two-day training workshop on Research Methodology organised by department of International Relations (IR), University of Karachi concluded here on Wednesday.
According to a press release issued here, Prof. Dr. Moonis Ahmar, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Professor Department of IR said that no nation can progress without focusing on research and discoveries.
He said that research is pivotal and vital to human development in any part of the world.
He further added that the workshop will enhance the capacity of participants in the field of research methodology and help them in pursuing their future research.
Chairperson Department of Psychology and workshop coordinator Dr. Anila Amber Malik, on the occasion discussed various issues related to research and methodology which were covered in the workshop.
She said that such activities are necessary to equip students and researchers with tools to conduct quality oriented research.
She further added that research is vital for the development of every field of knowledge.
Therefore, it is compulsory for the researcher of every discipline to get acquainted with research methodologies.
Chairman, Department of English Prof. Kaleem Raza Khan, Associate Professor Department of IR Dr. Farhan H. Siddiqi, Director, Quality Enhancement Cell Prof. M. Sajidin, former chairman, Department of Mass Communications Prof. Dr. Nisar Zubairi, Associate Professor, Department of Philosophy Dr. Wahab Suri and others also addressed the two-day workshop.
