A Pakistani left arm medium fast bowler Wahab Riaz was pumped in the Cricket World Cup quarter final match against the Australia where he showed his hidden talent to the world which forced many legendary Cricketers to say, ‘write, tweet, comment’.
Let’s read what the legendary cricketers say about Wahab?
Brian Lara: “It was a joy to watch him bowling today, his stats will never reveal how great of a spell that was.”
Michael Clark: “That’s as good as I’ve faced in ODI Cricket for a long time.”
Shane Watson: “I had a lot of luck to get through Wahab’s spell.”
Shane Warne: “Best spell of fast bowling I’ve seen for a long time.”
Misbah ul Haq: “I’ve never seen a bowler bowl like he did today.”
Kevin Pietersen: “Best spell of bowling by a foreigner on Aussie soil for year.”
Tom Moody: This is one of the great spells in the 2015 World Cup.”
The first spell of his bowling was praiseworthy, he bowled many short deliveries to David Warner, Shane Watson and Aron Finch, and finally he took first wicket of Warner towards the third man.
Rahat Ali was the fielder who had not made any mistake to take an important catch of the power hitter David Warner. And that time the pressure was turned to the Aussies.
After a wicket felt, Wahab was pumped up and expressed himself aggressively to the Master class batsman Michael Clark and then it worked, Clark got out at silly mid on. Sohaib was the man who took the simple catch.
Now, plan was to remove Watson from the crease because he was the only experienced and the recognized batsman on crease.
Watson has beaten several times by Riaz’s shot pitch deliveries and he lost control to shot and hooked, the ball was in the air for a long while, the easy catch was coming down to the fielder but unfortunately the catch was dropped, Watson scored 50 and helped Australia for victory.
Nevertheless, Pakistan had lost the quarter final match against top class and the top ranked team Australia but indeed Wahab Riaz won many hearts across Pakistan.
