KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has appreciated the police role in maintaining peace and security in Karachi.
The perception about police in the public and the media has positively changed after better performance of the police. The police’s national spirit and commitment should be appreciated at every level, he said.

All Pakistan Security Agencies Association (APSAA), said a press release on Saturday.
Additional Inspector General of Police, Ghulam Qadir Thebo, Vice President, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Muhammad Waseem Vohra and Chairman APSAA, Major (Retd) Muneer Ahmed were also present.
Shoaib Siddiqui said the police personnel have been performing their duties despite all odds ; even they lose their lives. They have promoted a sense of security among the people. Now, the police deserves to be taken care of by the government and the society.
The Commissioner, on this occasion, distributed awards among the police officials.
AIGP, Ghulam Qadir Thebo also highlighted the services of the police for maintaining law and order especially in the city.
