ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday forecast mainly dry weather for most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
However, there are chances of light rain at one or two places in Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.
According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave lies over Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.
An official from PMD said there are no significant chances of rain in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan during the next 24 hours.
She said there are chances of lights rain in scattered places during the coming days.
The chief amount of rainfall recorded during the last 24 hours was Murree 60 mm, Malamjabba 57, Parachinar, Kakul 51, Rawalakot 36, Muzaffarabad, Pattan 34, Balakot 30, Islamabad (Zeropoint), Kotli 29, Saidu Sharif 27, Jacobabad 26, Quetta (Samungli), Rawalpindi, Risalpur 25, Khanpur 23, Garhi Dupatta, Lower Dir, Sialkot Cantt 22, Quetta (Sheikh Manda), Jhelum 21, Rahim Yar Khan, Barkhan, Kohat 17, Cherat, Bahawalpur City 16, Peshawar City 14, Sukkur 13, Peshawar (Airport), Astore, Sialkot (Airport) 11, Gujranwala, Kalam, Mandi Bahauddin and Rohri 10.
The hottest places during the last 24 hours were Shaheed Benazirabad 42 C, Padidan 40 C, Dadu, Mithi, Moenjodaro 39 C and Chhor and Hyderabad 38 C.The pollen count recorded today was 5,206 per m3 of air.
