LAHORE: The Pakistan China economic corridor has strategic importance and it will bring about a new age of development and prosperity in the region.
This was stated by Brig (retd) Muhammad Saeed Sharif, a defense analyst, while addressing a seminar on the Pakistan China friendship here at Pakistan Study Centre on Friday.
Saeed Sharif said ties between Pakistan and China would further strengthen in future as the Chinese leadership showed confidence in improving economic indicators besides better law and order situation in Pakistan which will invite more Chinese investment.
He said it was a very positive sign for foreign investment that Chinese believed that Pakistani market had very good ability to observe new trends of trade.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Punjab University Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran said nature of Pakistan China relationship should be understood in the wake of global perspective.
PML-N Coordinator Muhammad Mehdi regarding Pakistan China Economic corridor said the Chinese were interested in investing in Pakistan and willing to further strengthen strategic ties with Pakistan. He said the project was going to create new vistas of economic and strategic cooperation between the two neighbours.
Prof Dr Massarrat Abid, Director, Pakistan Study Centre and Dean, Faculty of Arts & Humanities, highlighted the significance of relationship between the two countries.
