ISLAMABAD: After making his first overseas trip as leader to India, Sri Lanka’s new president Maithripala Sirisena arrived in Pakistan on Sunday for a three-day state visit, Aaj News reported.
Sirisena left Karachi yesterday’s afternoon and reached Islamabad, greeted by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at Islamabad airport.
According to the reports, the two sides will sign a number of Memorandum of Understandings and agreements to promote bilateral cooperation in various sectors with focus on trade.
The Sri Lankan President will also be meeting President Mamnoon Hussain to discuss bilateral relations.
