QUETTA: As many as 20 people were killed and several others wounded when unknown gunmen started straight firing on a labour camp in Balochistan’s Turbat area early on Saturday, Aaj News reported.
According to the reports, gunmen only targeted labours, belonging to Sindh and Punjab provinces; they were working on a bridge at Sohrab Dam in Gagdan area of Tubat.
Dead bodies and injured were shifted to Turbat Hospital.
According to the Commissioner Makran Pasand Khan Buledi, the 16 of the dead belonged to Sadiqabad and Rahim Yar Khan while another four from Hyderabad.
He further added, the incident took place around 1:30am.
Buledi also said that unknown gunmen were riding motorcycles and attacked the camp.
Meanwhile, all check posts and security stations in the area of Turbat have been alerted.
