Fear ran through Nepal as another major earthquake struck the country, BBC news reported.
The magnitude of the earthquake was 7.8 on the Richter scale.
Two weeks before more than 8,000 people were killed in a devastating quake.
The latest quake struck the town Namche Bazar, near Mount Everest.
The tremor was felt in Delhi, the Indian capital and Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. The ground shook Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, which is already recovering from the last month’s earthquake.
Yogita Limaye from BBC, who is with an aid convoy in Nepal said that the latest quake went on for a long time, leaving the local terrified.
People left the buildings in Kathmandu as the quake struck at 12:35 local time.
The epicenter of the latest quake was 83 kilometers east of Khatmandu, close to Chinese border.
The US Geological Survey reports that the latest quake hit the depth of 18.5 kilometers.
