MULTAN: A ceiling of a private school collapsed, leaving 30 children buried under the debris, Aaj News reported.
The trapped were helped out by rescuers. Nine of the severely injured children were rushed to Nishtar hospital.
Routine classes were on their way in the school at Basti Ali Wala when the roof of the classroom collapsed.
Rescue 1122 rushed to the spot to help out the children and provide them with medical assistance while the injured were rushed to the Nishtar hospital.
Malik Nadeem, owner of the school was arrested by the police.
According to the rescue workers, shops were constructed near the main wall of school without a No Objection Certificate which became the reason of the incident.
