QUETTA: To protest against the killing of their two colleagues in Daska area of Punjab, lawyers boycotted courts across the province on Tuesday
Addressing a press conference here, Balochistan Bar Association (BBA) President Advocate Bilal Ahmad Kasi accompanied by senior advocate Hadi Shakeel, ex president of BBA Baz Muhammad Kakar and a large number of lawyers strongly condemned the killing of two lawyers including Daska Bar Association president Advocate Rana Khalid Abbas and Advocate Irfan Chuahan and vowed that they stand with the victims’ family.
They demanded that the government take practical steps to arrest attackers and bring them to justice as soon as possible.
On the occasion, the lawyers offered Fateha for the departed souls.
Lawyers led by BBA president and other senior lawyers took out a rally which began from district court and ended outside the Quetta Press Club.
Meanwhile, the District Bar Association (DBA) Sargodha Tuesday observed complete strike against the alleged killing of two lawyers in Daska by police.
The litigants have to face problems due to the strike as no court proceeding take place.
DBA President Muhammad Arshad Hanjra and General Secretary Muzzamal Hanif Bhatti addressing a meeting at bar room demanded arrest of the alleged killers of the lawyers.
