KARACHI: MQM Rabitta Committee demanded the resignation of governor sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan on Monday, Aaj news reported.
Addressing a press conference, MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar presented charge sheet against Sindh Governor and demanded the governor to tender his resignation and return to the party.
He said that Altaf Hussain proposed Ebad for governor after the party joined coalition government in 2002.
The MQM leader said initially governor Sindh played an important role for the well-being of the people of the province.
The killings of MQM supporters and workers began after Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) formed government in 2008, he said, adding that the governor Sindh failed to stop the killings.
Farooq Sattar said the MQM extended unconditional support to the targeted operation launched against criminal elements in Karachi.
