ISLAMABAD: Negotiations between Federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhawa government were successful and a time limit of one week was assigned to solve problems between them, Aaj News reported.
Khawaja Asif, power and water minister chaired the negotiations.
Besides Pervez Khattak, Chief Minister KPK parliamentary leaders from every other political party including the current leader of Jamat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq was in attendance.
Khatak after the meeting said that three issues; loadshedding, pending dues of KPK government and Kashgar Gawadar trade corridor were discussed. Asif promised to resolve the problems in one week.
Economic Corridor will be discussed in tomorrow’s meeting. The meeting will also include problems regarding royalty of electricity. There will be no discriminatory policy against any province.
Siraj ul Haq, JI cheif, said that load shedding will be reduced before the start of Ramazan.
The provincial government also promised to pay its bills.
The protesters who had gathered outside the parliament house in Islamabad ended their protest after they were informed of successful negotiations.
