KARACHI: Death toll for those affected by the heatwave in Karachi has reached 529, Aaj News reported.
Citizens have faced the worst kind of load shedding with up to 14 hours of load shedding in some areas. Their suffering has increased manifold as they are fasting- and going without food and water at a stretch- to observe Ramzan.
In the past three days, Karachi has burned. Only in three days people affected by heat strokes have teemed hospitals.
Most heatstroke patients were announced dead on arrival at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
Three heat stroke cases have been reported from Hyderabad.
As temperatures soared, and load shedding protesters came out on the streets at different parts of the city. They blocked roads and burned tyres.
