PESHAWAR: As many as 24 first investigation reports have been registered against alleged rigging and mismanagement in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s local bodies election, Aaj News reported.
Around four police officers along with 700 other people have been arrested.
According to Riaz Mehsud, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, 24 FIR’s have been launched to probe the May 30 alleged rigging and mismanagement.
In related news, KPK police has put a ban on rallies for seven days to avoid any mishap.
The Election Commission Pakistan received 300 complains of rigging and mismanagement from Peshawar.
Meanwhile, eight people were killed in different parts of KPK during the elections.
