ISLAMABAD: Government raised petroleum prices by three rupee, Aaj News reported.
Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister said that government has not fulfilled the complete request of ‘Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority’.
After the addition of three rupees, petrol will be available on new price of 77.79 rupees per liter, high speed diesel 87.12 rupees, high octane 83.81 and kerosene oil on 64.94 rupees per liter.
Dar further added that Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan has decided not to put burden on consumer and has subsidized the petroleum products.
Otherwise the petroleum prices would have been increased by Rs7, he said.
Meanwhile citizens are irked by the increase in prices, as this would mean an increase in transport cost.
