ISLAMABAD: Investigation against K-Electric have begun on the orders of the Prime Minister, Aaj News reported.
Secretary Water and Power, Younus Dhaga and Chairman NEPRA Tariq Saduzai visited the KE offices and surveyed the extent of complains against the power utility.
The Sindh government has called KE responsible for over 1000 deaths in the province in the last seven days, following a heat wave.
Earlier, parliamentarians from the ruling Pakistan Peoples’ Party staged a protest against KE, stating that it was severe load shedding that resulted in the huge number of deaths.
After visiting the offices the investigation committee will give a judgement that whether it was load shedding which resulted in the deaths or something else.
