PESHAWAR: At least two policemen were killed and four others were injured when a suicide bomber targeted the vehicle of Deputy Commandant of Frontier Reserve Police (FRP) at posh Hayatabad area here on Thursday morning.
Mian Saeed, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) told reporters that it
was the suicide blast and its target was the vehicle of FRP Deputy Commandant Malik Tariq. The suicide bomber on motorbike rammed his vehicle to Malik Tariq’s vehicle when he was on his way to his office at posh Hayatab town in Peshawar west.
As result of the powerful blast, two policemen Malik Ibrar Hussain and Lal Bahadar were killed and four others were injured.
The wounded also included Malik Tariq. The condition of Malik Tariq was
out of danger, as per doctors reports. The vehicle was completely destroyed in the blast. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
